October 30, 2024: Apple Unveils M4 Max Chip for MacBook Pro - Apple announced the M4 Max chip, debuting in the latest MacBook Pro, as part of their refreshed M-series lineup. Built on second-gen 3-nanometer architecture, the M4 Max supports Thunderbolt 5 for doubled transfer speeds compared to Thunderbolt 4. Additionally, it features a Neural Engine with double the speed of the M3. Following the M4 Pro announcement and its debut in the new Mac mini, the M4 Max is now available for preorder, with shipments beginning November 8.
