GPT-4.5 Expands to More ChatGPT Users - OpenAI is expanding access to its newest AI model, GPT-4.5, to ChatGPT Plus subscribers after initially launching it for ChatGPT Pro users. The model is costly to run, set at $75 per million input tokens and $150 per million output tokens, and it's not always the top performer compared to newer reasoning models.
GPT-4.5 offers deeper knowledge, higher emotional intelligence, and reduced hallucinations. Despite these advantages, OpenAI is evaluating its long-term viability due to the high operational costs.
