Hugging Face Acquires Pollen Robotics - Hugging Face has acquired French startup Pollen Robotics to expand its robotics division. This acquisition includes Pollen's humanoid robot, Reachy 2, which Hugging Face plans to sell while allowing developers to access and improve its code. Founded in 2016, Pollen Robotics raised 2.5 million prior to the acquisition.
The purchase follows the successful collaboration on Le Robot, an open-source household robot, and is part of Hugging Face's efforts to enhance its robotics expertise. These efforts are led by Tesla alum Remi Cadene.
