JetBrains Introduces Junie AI Coding Agent - JetBrains has launched Junie, an AI coding agent that automates routine coding tasks and collaborates with developers in IDEs like IntelliJ IDEA Ultimate and PyCharm Professional. Junie aids in generating code, refactoring, testing, and debugging, boosting code quality and efficiency. Alongside Junie, JetBrains updated its AI Assistant to support newer models and improve workflow integration.
All JetBrains AI tools, including Junie and the AI Assistant, are available under new subscription tiers. A free tier provides access to both local and cloud-based AI functionalities.
