Metas Massive AI Investment with 1.3M GPUs - Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced plans to significantly raise capital expenditures to $60-$80 billion in 2025, focusing on data centers and AI development. The tech giant aims to have over 1.3 million GPUs by year-end and bring one gigawatt of compute online, comparable to the power needs of 750,000 homes.
This move comes as Meta races to compete with AI rivals such as Microsoft, which plans similar investments, and OpenAI's expansive data center ventures through its Stargate initiative.
