Nvidia Moves AI Chip Manufacturing to U.S. - Nvidia is set to produce AI chips in the U.S., securing over a million square feet of space in Arizona and Texas. Production of Blackwell chips has started at TSMC's Arizona plants, with further facilities in Texas through partnerships with Foxconn and Wistron. This strategy aims to boost Nvidia's supply chain and address rising AI demands.
The decision aligns with a domestic manufacturing agreement made with the Trump administration to bypass H20 chip export controls. Despite challenges such as trade restrictions from China and workforce shortages, Nvidia expects substantial job creation and economic growth from these domestic efforts.
