Safe Superintelligence Hits $32B Valuation Milestone - Safe Superintelligence (SSI), founded by ex-OpenAI co-founder Ilya Sutskever, has raised an additional $2 billion, boosting its valuation to $32 billion. This funding round was led by Greenoaks. Sutskever, who departed OpenAI in May 2024 after a failed coup against CEO Sam Altman, launched SSI with Daniel Gross and Daniel Levy.
The company concentrates on one product: a safe superintelligence. At present, SSI's website only displays a basic mission statement, indicating that the product is still in development.
